One Day -The Village way

 

Your day begins in the traditional way. Take a sunrise dip in a flowing river or the sea. Brace up to plough the fields with a pair of bullocks. Have fun plastering a traditional hut with cow dung.   Yahoo! your way to learning a bullock cart. Drive your bullocks all the way to your host village. Discover fun village games played by kids, often forgotten by grown-ups. Be styled  the rural way – Navaree sarees for women and dhoti kurta, pitambar, pheta for men – and get geared up for a one huge surprise in the village. Share a festive meal with the villager. But before that do try your hand at a grinding stone – making chutneys and masalas or grinding flour from rice.                                                                             Work in a rice field or grow some tur in the village farms. Take the buffaloes for a wash-out in the village pond. Return home to a traditional farmer’s pot cook-out on a campfire and some traditional folk songs sung together and martial art dance form – the Lathi-Kathi .
